    Description

This Bach Mercury cornet was made in about 1953 according to its serial number (#12XXX) and it's in very good condition. It was professionally relacquered by a professional brasswind shop in 2007 and has been in the case since then. The lacquer has held up extremely well, although there is a small (about ¼ inch) bleeder in the bell flare rim. There also some extremely small peck dents throughout the instrument, but both of these issues are difficult to see from even just a few inches away, and the cornet presents very well. We've recently run this instrument once again through our brasswind department to make sure it's in good playing condition.
The case is in good condition for its age, but shows both exterior and interior cosmetic wear. The wood is undamaged though, and the handle, latches and hinges all function just as they should.
All in all this is a beautiful example of a classic Bach Mercury cornet, and we expect that it will sell quickly. Grab it while you can!
    All reasonable offers considered.
